Most of the wood that I carve comes from the banks of the Biloxi River. I enjoy carving Cypress and Cedar the most. Cedar just smells awesome! Most pieces are started with my trusty chainsaw and the details are finished up with a Dremel. Sometimes I will use an angle grinder or other rotary tool. Sandpaper plays a big roll, too. Most carvings are finished with boiled linseed oil or polyurethane.
